RYAN: In this week's Trailer Tuesdays, two Hollywood heavy hitters, Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, team up for the new gangster flick, "Public Enemies."
CAROLINE: I'm so psyched for this movie! It's a rare occurrence that Christian Bale is overshadowed on a movie poster, but in this case it's all about Johnny Depp. Bale's got more of a supporting role, and Johnny plays the real-life 1930s gangster, John Dillinger.RYAN: There are rumors they may work together again in the next "Batman" installment with Johnny Depp as The Riddler.
CAROLINE: The costumes in this movie look phenomenal. It's very much a period piece. And I'm really looking forward to seeing Marion Cotillard, who won the Oscar for "La Vie en Rose," as Johnny Depp's love interest.
RYAN: She's one of my top five favorite actresses. I can't wait to see her in "Nine" later this year. This almost looks like a Martin Scorsese-level film. I'm uber excited for it.
CAROLINE: Well, Michael Mann is no slouch. I've loved some of his previous films, especially "Collateral," and this one could very well be great. It already has Oscar buzz. I'm actually a little surprised it's coming out now and not in the fall, but July 4th weekend is a big deal too. Check out the awesome trailer here:
RYAN: Next up is "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," which is the third in this franchise.
CAROLINE: I have not seen either of the previous two, which should be no surprise to anyone. Have you?RYAN: I think I saw the first one. These moves are actually a cute and well made and the animation is great. It's got voices from Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and John Leguizamo.
CAROLINE: And also three people we love: Jane Lynch, and SNL's Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig.
RYAN: I love the little girl squirrel in the trailer. This movie looks very cute. I'll see it if I can make the screening.
CAROLINE: I, of course, have no interest and would rather rearrange my sock drawer. Here's the trailer:
